Carrowholly National School, Rusheen, Westport, Co. Mayo

Fáilte

A very warm welcome is extended to you, as you browse through our newly-updated school website. Thank you for taking the time to visit us virtually.

I have no doubt that you will gain a deepened insight into what we, as a school community, are all about.

Our wonderful students motivate us to do our best each day in our beautiful and child-centered learning environment. Located approximately 5km from Westport town our school emulates the peace and beauty that our unique location boasts i.e., nestled in the warm embrace of Clew Bay and overlooking our pilgrim mountain, Croagh Patrick. We are fortunate to be in close proximity to the Westport Golf Club, Horse Stables, Rugby Club, Rosmoney Pier and Sailing Club.

We take great pride in our wonderful staff, students and school. Our dedicated staff create the best possible indoor and outdoor learning experiences for all of our students. Our teaching is informed by knowledge of our students as well as keeping up to date with continuous pedagogical approaches & evolving curriculum initiatives. Wellbeing is prioritised at our school and we want to create happy and memorable experiences that our students will bring with them as they progress through life. Positive learner outcomes motivate our practice and we wish for every student to achieve their personal best through positive reinforcement, encouragement and dedication, i.e. 'Mol an Óige agus Tiocfaidh Sí'.

We strive to achieve a standard of excellence and care for our students by collaborating and supporting one another in the best interests of all students enrolled here . Developing and celebrating the individual talents and skillset of every individual is at core of our ethos. In sharing our innumerable talents, we experience an enriched school community together. Mar a déarfá  'Ní neart go cur le chéile'

If you wish to arrange an appointment to visit our school, I would be delighted to facilitate this and meet with you in person. Please contact carrowhollyschool@gmail.com for further information. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy exploring our school website!

Le gach dea-ghuí,

Mrs. Marese Cannon
