On the 6th of June, 4th, 5th and 6th class were visited by Abbvie. We learnt about STEM.
S - Science
T - Technology
E - Engineering
M - Mathematics
Two workers from Abbvie presented a power point on their jobs and many others.
They told lots of interesting facts and it was a really enjoyable presentation.
A highlight of the visit was the experiment we did. We put skittles around a paper plate in a circle and poured warm/cold water on the plate. The coloured sugar from the skittles melted and created a rainbow effect!
On behalf of the Senior Room students and staff of Carrowholly, I would like to thank Abbvie for coming to our school. We were inspired by the experience and learnt lots! We hope that you will visit us again.
