For the first three weeks of January the Junior Room have been learning about shopping across a number of subjects with Ms. Daly.
Our SESE has brought us through time and across the world to learn about toys, which led us to sort new/old toys, design and create our own toys with and build supermarkets using the Aistear Framework.
With the help of Ms. Cannon we have been learning about money. This gave us the opportunity to learn through the Aistear Framework with coin rubbings, role play “The shop” and use our knowledge of money to provide prices. We also paired up for math challenges on the white board where we were given a budget and a shopping list.
Our topic for Gaeilge was “Caitheamh Aimsire” which linked so nicely with our money and toys too!
