Parent's Association
We are currently recruiting parents to join our Parent's Association.
The aim of the Parent Association is to provide a forum for the parents/guardians of children attending Carrowholly National School to work together, in partnership with the Principal, Board of Management and the whole school community, to help provide the best possible education for children attending the school, in accordance with the provisions of the Education Act, 1998.
The Parent's Association is pivotal in many aspects for school life, including, but not limited to:
- The Parent Association can support the principal and Board of Management on policy issues and incidents that may require a review of school policy, e.g. Bullying, Safety, Homework, Enrolment etc.
- Parent Associations can suggest and/or organize extra-curricular activities.
- Parent Associations can play a vital role in fundraising efforts for our school.
- The Parent Association is a support for parents in the school.
- The Parent Association can invite guest speakers to address the parents on issues which are topical or relevant e.g. Internet Safety.
If you would be interested in getting involved, there will be a meeting organized in early 2024 to form a Parent Association at Carrowholly National School. You can email your interest to the office at carrowhollyschool@gmail.com.
